Take a couple of clothespins with you when you travel. While not on your typical travel list, a handful of clothespins can prove very useful.
Try to go to the gym prior to getting on a flight. Longer flights can be hard on your body. In addition, having to sit in one spot for hours can cause your back and legs to severely cramp up. You can have more energy at the end of your flight when your warm up and stretch before takeoff.
